About the Company
Sterlite Power Transmission Limited (SPTL) is a leading global developer of power transmission infrastructure, with projects spanning over 12,500 circuit kilometers and 22,719 MVA in India and Brazil. The company specializes in power conductors, EHV cables, and OPGW, offering solutions for upgrading and strengthening existing networks. SPTL is also the sponsor of IndiGrid, India’s first power sector Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), listed on the BSE and NSE.

Business Segments and Financial Performance
In FY24, SPTL reported a total income of ₹4,842 crore, marking a 47.1% increase. However, profitability declined due to challenges in the Infra business, particularly in Brazil, leading to a net worth decrease to ₹1,333 crore. Borrowings increased to ₹6,739 crore, primarily due to debt in the Brazilian Infra business. Despite these challenges, SPTL is investing ₹450 crore to increase conductor capacity and enter the solar and Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable segments, targeting a 30% revenue growth and 62% PAT growth by FY26.

As of May 2025, Sterlite Power’s unlisted shares are trading at ₹665 per share, with an EPS of ₹72. The company has approximately 12 crore shares outstanding, leading to a valuation of around ₹7,200 crore.
